PALO ALTO, CALIFORNIA AND STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN | SEPTEMBER 19 2018
Ever thought about expanding your business to the US market? Do you dream about accessing the talent, knowledge, and capital of Silicon Valley? But then someone told you the legal risks are too big, and that you should probably not even think about it?
Relax, there are indeed ways to protect yourself against those risks. Legal risks should be taken seriously, but they should never stop you from going west, if this is what your business needs. During this event entrepreneurs, tech executives and lawyers, with vast experience from both Silicon Valley and the Nordics, will share with you, their practical insights and knowledge about the legal stuff you need to know before you enter the US. They will talk about what kind of entity to set up, tax implications, immigration and visa, hiring employees, product liability and much more. It will be relevant for both Nordic companies already established in the US, as well as for entrepreneurs planning a launch sometime in the future.
The panel will consist of Spencer Raff and Greg Wrenn, founding partners of Pragmatica Law LLP in California, and Anders Moberg, partner at Advokatfirman Lindahl, Stockholm. The conversation will be moderated by former Lindahl partner Maria Ingelsson, co-founder of uslawfornordics.com and the VP Legal and HR of Automile Inc, California.
This cross Atlantic event will take place in Palo Alto, California, and Stockholm, Sweden, simultaneously. We will serve breakfast in US and light drinks in Sweden, and we will be connected via camera. Come meet with new friends, both in the US and Sweden, and get comfortable with the idea of entering the US.
Welcome!
