Lindahl's new chairperson is Mårten Steen. He will be taking over the reins from Johan Herrström, Managing Partner for Lindahl in Malmö, who has occupied the role since 2018. Mårten Steen has been working at Lindahl for nearly 20 years and is a highly valued leader and partner at the firm's Uppsala office.
"Naturally, it feels great and I am proud to be entrusted with the role. Lindahl is on an exciting journey and, after having worked closely with Johan Herrström in both the Presidium (Lindahl's senior management) and the board of directors in recent years, I am looking forward to taking over and continuing to develop the firm," Mårten Steen says.
Mårten Steen arrived at Lindahl in 2005 and for the last five years has been Managing Partner in Uppsala, a role Patrik Rindstål took over earlier this year. Mårten is part of Lindahl's Corporate M&A team and works with clients within several different sectors, with the emphasis on Life Science. Community and organisational culture have been a clear thread in his leadership, something he is now looking forward to take with him to his role as Lindahl's chairperson.
"Lindahl is a firm that is growing steadily, and, in combination with six offices throughout the country, our growth means that it is incredibly important to have a strong shared culture and an ambitious drive. A key for both of these things is leadership – that we have good leaders who build strong teams which in turn create the best possible value for our clients," Mårten Steen says.
Johan Herrström carries on as Managing Partner in Malmö, where the firm is moving into modern new premises in the summer in the heart of Varvsstaden.
"I want to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to Johan Herrström for the important work he has done over all his years as Lindahl's chairperson. He has been a central force in Lindahl's development in recent years, both legally and business-wise, as well as in terms of leadership and culture. Mårten Steen is now taking over the role of chairperson and I am convinced that it will be excellent for both the firm and our clients," says Tobias Wåhlén, CEO of Lindahl.
