Lindahl’s Stockholm office will undergo a major change at the end of this year as the current partners at the Stockholm office have decided to leave Lindahl to start two new law firms. The change comes following internal discussions among the partners at the Stockholm office.
Lindahl, one of Sweden’s leading business law firms with six offices and just over 400 employees, intends to continue its strong presence in the Stockholm market. Following today’s decision, Lindahl will start the process of securing the firm’s future Stockholm operations.
“The board regrets the decision taken by the Stockholm group. We are taking a number of measures to ensure that the work we do for our clients proceeds without disruption,” says Johan Herrström, Chairman of the Board at Lindahl.
The Stockholm office makes up roughly one-third of the firm’s overall operations in terms of turnover and number of employees. The changes will affect Lindahl’s position in the Stockholm market in the short term. However, operations in Gothenburg, Malmö, Uppsala, Örebro, and Helsingborg will not be affected.
“Lindahl is a law firm with strong, leading offices in each local market. The current changes won’t make or break our operations. Our ambition for the Stockholm market remain unchanged, and we will pursue our operations there with renewed vigor in the New Year,” says Johan Herrström.
The exact terms of the partners’ departure at the end of the year has yet to be decided.
“Operations will continue as usual through the end of the year with an ongoing focus on providing our clients valuable legal advice within the framework of the Lindahl Law Firm,” says Johan Herrström.
