New threshold values on January 1, 2024
The EU Commission has made a decision on the new threshold values, which will come into effect on January 1, 2024
The threshold values are revised every two years. They are set at levels where companies within the EU and EEA are typically expected to be interested in submitting bids across national borders. The threshold values determine which rules in the procurement legislation should be applied, and different threshold values apply depending on what is being procured and who is procuring.
The new threshold values applicable to procurements conducted under the Public Procurement Act (LOU) are:
Equivalent monetary limits have also been established for the Act on Procurement in the Utilities Sector (LUF), the Act on Procurement of Concessions (LUK), and the Act on Procurement in the Defense and Security Sector (LUFS).
