The Swedes for Ukraine platform is the first of its kind. It was set up in a short time in Ukraine by engineers at the Swedish-owned IT company Sigma Software. They have stayed in western Ukraine but want to help their fellow countrymen who are fleeing.
Swedes who are able to offer space in their houses and Ukrainian refugee families who need accommodation can register on the swedesforukraine.org website and be put in direct contract with one another in a safe way. The service also offers a standard contract for the accommodation that hosts and refugee families can use if they wish.
Lindahl has assisted Sigma Software with contracts and with terms and conditions for the platform. The team consisted of Anders Adielsson, Linda Backman and Johanna Bröme.
More information in Swedish, Ukrainian and English is available at swedesforukraine.org for any hosts and refugee families who may be interested in the scheme.
The people behind the initiative are the entrepreneurs Ebba Lindsö, Dan Olofsson and Valery Kraskovsky. Swedes for Ukraine collaborates with Sveriges Stadsmissioner [Swedish City Missions], which is able to support the families with other needs.
