The Network of Design (NOD) group of companies owned by Altor has acquired Grythyttans Stålmöbler AB. Grythyttan Stålmöbler was founded in Grythyttan in Bergslagen as early as 1895 and has been owned by the founding family ever since. The now classic A2 armchair was shown for the first time at the Stockholm Exhibition in 1930 and has been produced uninterruptedly since then. Along with with several other classics, the furniture is produced on site in Grythyttan with the focus on sustainability. Solid craftsmanship combined with high-quality materials ensures that the furniture lasts for generations. Grythyttan Stålmöbler is currently being run by the fourth generation of Lindqvists. The sale to NOD secures the company’s future growth while maintaining local and historical links.
Lindahl assisted the seller in the transaction and the Lindahl team consisted of Robert Asplund and Ida Karlsson.
