Northvolt’s establishment of a large battery factory in Skellefteå requires more homes to be built, which, according to the municipality, means 5,000 new homes by 2025. Skebo (Skellefteå’s municipal real property company) is paying Lindbäcks Fastigheter AB almost SEK 1 billion for 550 apartments built of wood for its projects Frigg, Getberget and Balder.
