HR-Friend has acquired the Sweden-based company Varbi to join the newly formed HR tech group thus far consisting of Workbuster and Grade. Varbi is a leading applicant tracking system (ATS) solution and recruitment marketing provider to public and enterprise customers in the Nordics and Benelux. The lead shareholder of HR-Friend is Norway-based investor Viking Venture, specialized in investments in Nordic B2B software companies, and the acquisition of Varbi forms part of Viking Venture’s establishment of a HR tech stronghold in the Nordics.
Lindahl acted as legal and tax adviser to HR-Friend / Viking Venture on the Swedish elements of the transaction. Lindahl’s team consisted mainly of Moritz Veller, Nicklas Bexelius, Ottilia Boström, Asta Schulz, Joakim Lundin and Anna Romell Stenmark.
