Lindahl in Stockholm has represented the shareholders of Stockholm Internet eXchange AB (“STHIX”) in its sale to GleSYS Holding AB (partly owned by the Danish PE fund VIA equity). STHIX provides interconnections for internet service providers in Gothenburg, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Sundsvall and Umeå. STHIX was established in 2006 in Stockholm, since which time it has expanded its services in all major data centres within Sweden and Denmark. GleSYS offers IT Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) within industries with high demands for availability and uptime, such as the e-commerce and cybersecurity sectors. VIA equity is a leading Northern European investor (multi-stage private equity) with a long history of building and transforming investments into national and international industry leaders. VIA manages three funds and primarily invests in software, internet, technology, energy and IT service companies. The acquisition of STHIX is part of the growth strategy established by GleSYS together with VIA equity.
