At the end of 2019, a new law will enter into force, the Occupational Pension Companies Act. The law means, among other things, that current occupational pension funds can no longer operate as mutual societies but must instead be transformed into a new form of society. Lindahl was tasked by SPK to provide legal advice for SPK’s transformation process into an occupational pension society.
SPK is one of Sweden’s largest insurance societies and administers and manages pensions and insurance for bank clerks. An insurance society can most easily be compared to an “insurance company” without commercial interests and with a closed membership.
Lindahl’s team consists mainly of Dennis Dicksen (responsible partner) and Victoria Bromark.
